What drives the price
- Which interval you are at — some are oil-only, some add plugs, filters and fluids
- Engine oil capacity and specification, which differs hugely between cars
- Petrol versus diesel — diesels need extra filters and often more oil
- Whether the schedule calls for brake fluid, coolant or transmission fluid this time
- Anything found during the inspection that needs doing
Our pricing model
There is a $150 minimum charge, which covers the callout and the first hour of labour. Beyond that you are quoted before any additional work starts, with parts listed. Nothing gets done that you have not approved.
If we cannot fix the fault, you do not pay for it. That policy only works because we diagnose properly rather than replacing parts hopefully.
Mobile versus dealership
Dealerships carry the overhead of a showroom, a service desk and a hoist bay, and it lands on your invoice. We carry a van. On like-for-like logbook work we are usually well under dealer pricing, and your book still gets stamped to the same schedule.
Add in the morning you do not lose sitting in a waiting room, and the gap widens.
