Mobile roadworthy inspections on the Gold Coast

Selling a car, re-registering it or bringing one up from interstate? We inspect it where it is parked and tell you exactly what stands between you and a pass.

What a roadworthy inspection covers

A Queensland safety certificate is a check of the things that keep the car safe on the road. It is not a mechanical health check and it is not a valuation — a car can pass a roadworthy and still need a service.

  • Tyres, wheels and spare — tread depth, damage and load rating
  • Brakes, handbrake, discs, pads and hoses
  • Steering and suspension components, bushes and ball joints
  • Seats, seatbelts and their mountings
  • Lights, indicators, reflectors and horn
  • Windscreen, wipers and mirrors
  • Body rust, structural condition and exhaust leaks
  • Engine, transmission and differential oil leaks

Why get it done mobile

A workshop roadworthy means dropping the car off, waiting, and coming back again if something fails. We come to your driveway or your work carpark, inspect it there, and hand you the list on the spot.

If items fail, we can usually fix the common ones — bulbs, wipers, brake pads, tyres, small leaks — during the same visit or on a quick return trip, rather than sending you off to another business.

Selling, buying or re-registering

In Queensland you need a safety certificate to sell a registered vehicle privately or through a dealer, and to re-register an unregistered one. Get it done before you list the car — buyers walk away from ads without one, and knowing the fail items early stops a sale falling over at the last minute.

If you are buying rather than selling, a pre-purchase inspection is the better spend. It is a far deeper check than a roadworthy and tells you what the car will cost you, not just whether it is legal.
