How our pricing works
$150 covers the callout to your home, work or roadside across the Gold Coast and Tweed Heads, plus your first hour on site. After that it is $150 for each additional hour, billed in 15-minute blocks — so a job that takes an hour and twenty minutes is $187.50, not rounded up to two hours.
Parts are charged at trade price plus a fair margin, and you see the parts cost before we fit them. Nothing gets added to the invoice that was not quoted and approved first.
No hidden fees — what you will and won't see on the bill

What an hour of labour gets you
- Logbook and general servicing — oil, filters, book stamped
- Brake pad and rotor replacement, fluid bleed
- Battery test and replacement, charging system check
- Won't-start diagnosis — starter, alternator, fuel or ignition
- Computer diagnostics for engine, ABS, airbag and transmission lights
- Cooling system — radiator, hoses, thermostat, water pump
- Suspension bushes, links, shocks and a wheel alignment referral
- Safety certificate (roadworthy) inspection and report
Typical job prices
These are realistic ranges based on the jobs we actually do every week, not a best-case headline. The only way to price your car exactly is to look at it — call and describe the symptom and we will give you a number over the phone before we come out.
- Basic logbook service (oil, filter, levels, inspection): $150–$250 plus parts
- Front brake pads fitted (pair): usually $180–$320 including pads
- Front pads and rotors: $450–$700 depending on the car
- Battery replacement on site: $220–$340 including a quality battery
- Starter motor or alternator replacement: $400–$800 fitted
- DPF forced regeneration on site: $180–$350
- EGR clean and valve service: $350–$650
- Safety certificate inspection: from $150
- Diagnostic scan and fault report: included in the $150 first hour
Our local area — no travel charge
The $150 per hour rate applies anywhere from Coomera and Helensvale through Southport, Surfers, Broadbeach, Burleigh, Robina and Varsity down to Tweed Heads and the southern border. That is our home turf and there is no travel fee within it.
Outside that zone — up into the northern Brisbane suburbs or west past Beaudesert — we are still happy to come, we just talk travel time first so it is on the quote, not the invoice.
Why we can charge $150 an hour
A workshop has to cover a big rent, a second hoist sitting idle half the day, a receptionist and a waiting room. We don't. The van is the workshop, it goes to the job, and the overhead we save comes off your hourly rate.
You also skip the tow truck, the drop-off and the day off work. For a lot of people that saving is worth more than the service itself.
How to pay
We take card, cash and bank transfer on the spot — the EFTPOS terminal is in the van. Invoices are issued the same day and include the parts list and labour time, which is what most fleets and novated-lease providers need to reimburse.
